Use specialized composite screws (with corrosion-resistant coating) and predrill holes to prevent splitting. Avoid nails—they loosen over time.

Wrap plywood with batting and fabric, securing it tightly with a staple gun. Add decorative buttons or nailhead trim for a polished look.

Sprinkle baby powder or graphite powder between boards, or secure with finishing nails from below.

1/4"–1/2": Crafts, backing, and lightweight panels. 3/4": Standard for shelves, cabinets, and furniture. 1"–2": Structural support (beams, tabletops).
